No matter where you are on the path to the Lord, the Oblates of the Virgin Mary are here to help. We guide men and women hoping to experience the joy of encountering the Lord through the Scriptures. By offering spiritual direction and retreats, the Oblates help people hear and respond to the movement of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

Religious and Priestly Formation

Over the course of eight years, candidates to profess perpetual vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience study philosophy and theology, participate in the one-year immersive novitiate, and learn what it means to be an Oblate by living out their vocational discernment in the midst of well-established Oblate communities. This formation process is also sufficient preparation for ordained ministry as deacons and priests.
